I made a purple pumpkin! Not just any purple pumpkin, but a glitzy purple pumpkin! It's only natural for me to have a purple pumpkin. After all, my blog title is Purple Hues and Me! And I love purple! I was tired of the orange pumpkin I got on clearance last year at Hobby Lobby. Can't remember the price I paid, but it had to be cheap. It was after Thanksgiving so I believe it was 80 percent off. That's the only way I would buy an "orange" pumpkin. I know, orange is THE color for autumn and fall. And I know it's the color of joy, interaction, creativity and playfulness, blah, blah, blah. But there's something about orange that I grew to dislike. Perhaps it was back in the seventies when I had orange and gold shag carpeting in my first new home. Yuck! I have had my fill of orange (not really, I know it's an important color, especially this time of the year).
Sorry, little orange pumpkin . . . .
On to purple . . . .
|This color is called "Heather"|
Mix a little purple glitter, filler, and modge podge . . .
Add some purple rinestones . . .
Ta Da . . . Now, to decorate . . .
Purple lovers . . . don't you just love it?
